Shame was an orphan left on the step of her village’s church. Pastor Goodman took her in, despite protestations from the parishioners. She was given the name Shame so that she’d never forget the sin of her existence.
Shame was your average Puritan, besides the horns growing out of her forehead and the red skin, of course. She spent her days assisting the village Pastor in an attempt to make up for the evil nature everyone said she had.
One day, Shame was accused of using witchcraft on another villager. Despite her protests, she was found guilty and sentenced to be burned at the stake. As the flames began to consume her, she thought she heard the voice of an angel call out to her. She embraced it with open arms…
That’s when she became the witch they’d always thought she was.
